NFL - Sports Rumors

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported the Washington Redskins are trying to land unhappy quarterback Jay Cutler from the Denver Broncos. According to the report, the rumored deal would also include the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to the report, Cutler would end up in Washington, Matt Cassel in Denver and Jason Campbell in Kansas City.

According to The Inquirer, the 'Skins are denying they have any intention of dumping Campbell, which shows they were paying attention when the Broncos got themselves into this mess to begin with. New coach Josh McDaniels, formerly QB coach and offensive coordinator for the Patriots, actively tried to trade Cutler for Cassel last month, didn't succeed, then lied about it.

That doesn't make sense for Kansas City, they got a quarterback for the future and has actually done good in the NFL, granted it was for one season, but Cassel is/will be better than Campbell

i have to agree that it's hard to believe that the Chef's would trade for Cassel just to make him trade bait. If it were the Raiders then it would be believable.

If this is to be believed then you are believing Pioli is a complete idiot. No way the Chiefs trade off Cassel for Campbell UNLESS there are also multiple draft picks for the Chiefs in the deal.

not a fan of any of these teams, but for KC to do this, I'm sure they would be getting picks in compensation. would KC feel better if they swapped Cassel for Campbell and also received a pick or two. They need draft picks.

cassell in denver would pi$$ me off cus he would have success early...once every one gets up to his level in the playbook....

This will not happen. However, I do think it is time the Redskins dump Campbell. Campbell "gird your loins" Washington has had enough of you!

I'm so tired of this Cutler story its unreal. Doesn't anyone realize that Cutler is an average quarterback at best with above average arm strength. He choked getting his team to the playoffs twice. He's below .500 as a starter. He's NOT a superbowl quarterback. I'll be waiting for all Cutler fans out there to scold me but, send him to the Philadelphia Soul so I never have to hear from him again. He's going to the Brown's, He's going to the Jets, He's going to Washington, He's going to HELL.
