Cowboys hoping Ownes will be available for playoffs

Terrell Owens' high ankle sprain will sideline him this weekend in Washington. Everything after that is to be determined.

The best-case scenario is that Owens is ready to go for the divisional game on Jan. 12 or 13. He'll surely crank up the hyperbaric chamber and do everything else possible to make that a reality. But Owens playing in the Cowboys' first playoff game is far from a sure thing.

"I'm hopeful," Wade Phillips said, "but I wouldn't say confident."

    T.O. is gona come back for the playoffs and blow away the competition. And don't forget T. Glenn will be back as well.... thats going to be very scary.....

    I think that teams will relize in the playoffs that if you double owens he cant do antthing.

    Mean Gene Okerlund, as much as I dislike the Cowpies and TO wishing him harm is not cool. He will be a nonfactor in the playoffs .

    Theres a lot of trash talk going around for a team that HAS NOT WON A PLAYOFF GAME SINCE 1996!!!

    john f, when was the last time you won anything. I'm always amazed how many non Cowboys fans are on a Cowboy rumor. If I remember correctly you all said that the Cowboys would have a loss against Carolina...well I guess you got that wrong.
    Next up the Boys need Terry Glenn to get some reps with Romo.
    They should play an offensive scheme aginst Washington that they may need to use after their bye week if TO isn't healthy.

    Eagles own the Cowboys? Typical Eagles fan, and I live near Philly and hear that ignorant stuff all the time. The last time the Eagles OWNED anything was a championship in 1960, before the NFL was formed - in case the Eagles fans can't count, that was 47-48 years ago. Almost 50 years!!
    I hate T.O., too, but with him, Glenn, Witten, Hurd, Crayton, Barber, Jones and that new halfback dude, there's just way too many targets.

    Where is that packers4ever or whatever his name was that was on here talking smack last week. He is probably still crying over his team getting spanked by Chicago. Despite TO getting hurt it was a great weekend for Cowboys fans. We got the W and GB lost, so it was an early Christmas. GB should really have never lost that game like we should have never lost the Philly game, but that is what we needed. Now we don't have to worry about the Washington game. We can hopefully rest up our starters and some other players will heal up and with the addition of Glenn we are looking good I think. I feel like TO will be ready for the first playoff game. We need him on the field in the playoffs if nothing else for his ability to draw attention away from other receivers and the running backs. I think we can still win without him, but he is a big part of the offense.

    Sir.... there are not enough life boats sir.....ok then... make sure Romo and Jess get in the first one and Mr. Jones and the cheerleaders get in the next one,,,,,,, there are some folding wooden chairs that T.O. can make a raft out of and float to Philly or Minnesota or some remote location other than Dallas. Let Terry stay here and lead the band,,, he is allready washed up and it wont matter if he goes down with the ship.......

    Well you needed that SB bad after you guys choked for so many years so I don't feel bad about it. I am sure the choking in the playoffs has you worried after sitting through it so many years. We had what 3 in 4 years. So we can take a losing playoff run here and there.

    Eric P: Three in 4 years,,,, in the last decade,,, has Dallas won a playoff game??? Who cares about 1993. This years Indianpolis team would beat any of the early 90s Dallas teams, hands down. What New England did to Dallas is what is going to happen in the playoffs. A team like Washington or The Giants are going to ambush the Cowboys and you will all be sctratching your heads after trying to figure out why Wade Phillips suks and T.O. is nothing more than hot air.
