The Tennessee Titans finally washed their hands of suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones on Wednesday, agreeing in principle to trade him to the Dallas Cowboys.

Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple confirmed the teams had an agreement, but no terms had been filed with the NFL office, which already had closed for the day. The Titans also confirmed the deal, adding that terms had to be finalized. The team had no further comment beyond a two-sentence e-mail.

Dalrymple declined to discuss specifics of the trade. ESPN.com reported the deal involved a fourth-round draft pick this weekend and another in 2009 if Jones plays this season. The Titans would pay back that selection in 2009 if Jones is not reinstated for this season.

Normally I don't post as there is more garbage than useful comments on here but I feel this would be a good time to start. I think if Jerry is smart when they rework his contract they will put in a NO STRIP CLUB clause and something about if he gets in trouble with the law for anything, even once, that he has to repay any signing bonus they give him and he is kicked off the team. Zero tolerance and force him to be on good behavior if he wants to play for them. If he can keep Pacman on a tight leash this could possibly work. You just can't allow him to keep up with the same behavior he has been doing that got him suspended in the first place.

THE COWBOYS ARE DOOMED!!!!!! Way to go J Jones, buy all the thugs and convicts up cuz you still won't will the big game! This move will only hurt your team, there will be too much media surrounding the dousche bag. I hope someone breaks his neck, hes a loser that will never learn and you go and reward him by trading for him. I can't wait to see Henry an C Johnson join the team. Whats Next OJ Simpson for the running backs coach? What a joke!!! Good luck Cowboys your gonna need it.

i love seein all the cowboy haters post their nonsense about how dallas is a bunch of thugs and criminals, and also putting TO's name in the mix as one of the criminals! correct me if im wrong but in order to be defined as a criminal dont you have to be in trouble with the law? never seen TO in that lineup. plus what criminal has been in trouble since coming to dallas? all of your precious teams have never had any kind of trouble like the titans for one (haynesworth). if memory serves correctly didnt that guy kick or step on one of the guards and get suspended. never seen any of the cowboys do that! just deal with the fact that you are hatin on the cowboys because your team will never be as good! unless you are a steelers fan or a niners fan which are the 2 of 3 teams tied with the most superbowl rings and im sure i dont have to mention the 3rd, but i will DALLAS F'n COWBOYS!!!! eat a bowl of D's you haters!!!!!!
    GO DALLAS!!!

smart guy anthony p, did you know that jimmY didnt do jack his first 2 years as head coach? did you know his first year dallas went 1-15? even still your right that he did take them to the superbowl but immediately after he resigned or quietly fired! im not tryin to take anything away from him but if he was so good why didnt he do anything with miami? wasnt he supposed to get marino his ring? landry was good too but like johnson he only got 2 rings. i think if you are gonna say who put who on the map it would be the players, the staubachs, aikmans, smiths, irvins and so on! last time i checked since buying the team back in 89 the cowboys have one 3 rings which was more than the previous owners. is that knowing enough? maybe i should take the boot out of my mouth and stick it in your A$$!!

Jimmie Johnson had 1 great move the herschel walker trade, johnson had the luxury of no salary cap when he drafted that awesome team of the 90's, that is why he failed in miami he couldn't draft at will. dallas only gave up a 4th round pick this year, and a conditional 6th round in '09. if pacman is not reinstated this year they keep that 6th round pick and get their 4th round pick this year back in '09. worth the chance, because that frees up that 2nd first round pick to get a safety(bye bye roy williams) witch is 1 of their biggest needs.

anthony p....you should learn more about what you are talking about. Jimmie J was a good coach, but he also fostered a lot of problems and let the players run wild...just that they still won. The reasons the team began to collapse was a lot more to do with the onslaught of 'free agency' and the 'salary cap'. Dallas had the best players and could have won 10 titles with any coach at that point, but they could not afford to keep the players anymore. No salary cap...they would still be winning.
And, as john w. pointed out, Jimmie failed miserably in Miami and then dropped out of football. So who was really responsible for the great Cowboys of the 90's????? Maybe a combo of both Johnson and Jones!

Jerry is getting really desperate now. Look @ how old he looks now. He looks like he's aging faster than time.
Just like the other guy said, it's hilarious to see how Jerry and Al Davis are destroying their franchises. I'm lovin it.
