NFL - Sports Rumors

“TonyIndianapolis Colts wide receiver is hoping for a miracle, it appears, so that he can keep trying to catch some balls this season. The word is that the injured third-year pro was drafted in the first round from Ohio State is looking for a second opinion on a knee injury that won't go away, according to the Indianapolis Star.

The word is that he's asking Dr. James Andrews, who is likely to confirm that he's got more than sprained PCL. The thought is that it is likely torn.

If Gonzalez wanted to keep playing, he should have looked in the Yellow Pages for a doctor. Instead he goes to one of the best in the business.

apparently you did jordan, i'm assuming you mean on your fantasy team. He's been gone almost the whole year and you didn't replace him?

#4 is why I'm really starting to dislike fantasy football and fantasy sports altogether. I know it was a joke, but there are plenty of people that are actually serious. People should care less about their teams and more about the guys playing on the field.

Just out of curiosity, where is the information that this doctor " is likely to confirm that he's got more than sprained PCL. The thought is that it is likely torn" coming from? And who is the one making "the thought (that it is likely torn)"? Is that personal opinion? Are you the one who's thinking that it's likely torn? Or is it someone else. That's fine if it's you, Mark Miller, but personal opinion really should be labeled as such.
Yes, I realize that the column title is "Sports Rumors". What I'm saying is that there should be a distinction between who starts the rumor and who only reports it. If you're just reporting it, fine. If you're actually originating it, fine too, but either way, it should be clarified.

Bummer for Gonzo. He was going to have a great season this year and too bad it had to happen especially in the first game. Luckily the Colts ahve players that can step up. Polian does a great job in finding talent. Although Garcon has looked a little inconsistent in the last couple of games he will be just fine as a fill in for the remainder of the year and Austin COllie is a steal in the draft. THe guy is going to be a star in the NFL. Wayne, Clark, Collie, Garcon will be just fine and as long as u have #18 throwing the passes he will make those guys that much better.

Dont get me wrong here I think manning is a great QB the best in the bussines right now and maybe when he's done the best ever to play the game but all this talk about how he makes Garcon and Collie so great is upsetting me. I mean did anybody ever stop to think that the Triple coverage wyane has been seeing all year and the double team clark draws on almost ever play has just as much to do with their success if not more then manning throw the ball to them? Just thought I throw that out there

He's injury prone because he is old, and past his prime. He was a great player that has been bumped to the good player status. If he stays healthy long enough to play a season, good for him he is a fun guy to watch, but he is getting old and can't stay healthy, bottom line.

Im a huge Colts fan, but Gonzo is overrated and disappointing. He is hurt way to often, and when he is not hurt, he is on the field producing next to nothing. He drops entirely too many passes and the Colts play him out of position. They spread him out wide, when he is clearly a natural slot receiver. I expect alot more from him when he gets healthy or else he may not be a Colt much longer.

What the hell were the Colts doing? Half the season is over and they think NOW it might be torn instead of sprained?? Unbelieveable. If Dungy would have been there this would of happened weeks ago.

#6 - I totally agree with you. I cant believe some of the comments I see on these articles. Too many people are more concerned about their make-believe football team than a real life person.

Not sure what #11-Jimmy is talking about but I can only imagine he thought this horrendously written article was about Tony Gonzalez?? Don't blame him though, I had a difficult time understanding what the hell he was talking about too, haha.
