Cleveland Browns best defensive player, Shaun Rogers, may be done for year

“ShaunWhen your team is 1-10, it's likely not that hard to want to miss the rest of the year and avoid all further embarrassments. That's apparently what's going on with Cleveland Browns nose tackle, Shaun Rogers(notes), the best defensive player on the team, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Rogers reportedly has an injury to his right ankle or Achilles tendon. He left the locker room on crutches and his face showing signs of pain.

Linebacker David Bowens(notes) said after the game, "It's bad to see him on crutches like that. Baby is one of those players that wants to be in there making plays for us and right now he's really frustrated -- and it's totally understandable."

One imagines that this is a situation that Rogers doesn't want to hear his nickname, Big Baby, being used. See, even when he's injured, he can't avoid embarrassment.

    Going from the Browns to the Jets isn't much of an upgrade. Hopefully he can go to a contender.

    Kamerion Wimbley got hurt too. Already lost two best linebackers. Defense is falling apart. Offense was never together. sad sad year in Cleveland.

    the browns have not been good since they came back in the late 90's. their first big mistake was drafting tim couch and it hasnt gotten better since.

    Maybe Shaq could play Nose Tackle, Travis Hafner at Linebacker, Lebron at Wide Reciever, Grady Siemore at Quarterback and Anderson Varajeo at Tight End.

    Get well Shaun Rogers. You will be missed. You and Josh Cribbs are the only playmakers on the team right now. Too bad sucky Quinn didnt get crutches too!!!(Quinn is the suckiest of sucks that ever sucked at sucking")

    Paula, maybe you'll get your wish and Quinn will be traded...and then you could watch him succeed on another team because fickle fans like yourself didn't give the QB a fair try. He's been jerked around since his rookie year and never given a full season to show what he can do.

    The Browns are a joke. The Lions are a joke, The Bucs are a joke, The Raiders a joke. The Bills are a joke, The Rams are a joke, All these teams that I have brought up are all jokes and I do have to say that each team on here does have at least 2 to 3 realy good players that would do well with the real contenders that are going to be in the Play Offs. The Joke teams need to be put into the UFL league instead of the NFL.
