NFL - Scoop Du Jour

The San Diego Chargers have long been rumored to be one of the teams that might move to Los Angeles when Farmers Field is completed. The rumor intensified Tuesday when word came that the team's owners, the Spanos family, are ready to sell the team for between $800 million and $900 million to AEG, which owns the Los Angeles Kings and Los Angeles Galaxy as well as a stake in the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Spanos family, however, has other thoughts. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that there is no sale underway. "Never gonna happen," Chargers spokesman Mark Fabiani wrote in an email Tuesday to the paper.

Looks like Philip Rivers(notes) and company won't have to be packing the moving boxes anytime soon.
