Burress prediction: Giants win, 23-17

Before ever setting foot in Arizona, New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress gave the New York Post his prediction on who wins Super Bowl XVII. It sure ain't the New England Patriots.

As he pulled his car up to the Giants Stadium tunnel to unload his bags, Burress Monday morning was asked by The Post a direct question: Are you ready to make history? "You better believe it," the towering Giants receiver said.

And then, as he entered the stadium and turned left toward the Giants locker room, Burress was asked for his prediction. Burress never hesitated, flatly stating "23-17."

That terd wrapped in electrical tape has no clue what he is talking about. Patriots 35- Giants 20. This will be a high scoring game. In bad weather, maybe the score is 23-17. Plax needs to learn that he cant just talk about it he needs to be about it.

we all know players shouldnt predict outcomes of games just look at that no name d-back from pittsburg who guarenteed a win and they got stomped. I have all the respect for the Giants and know its gonna be a great game. But in the end the Pats will win but itll be close

Looks like they need to re enforce their beliefs by saying it.Why couldnt he keep it to himself and have quiet confidents about themselves? This was stupid to say.I think they should believe they can win but dont give the PATS AAmo.lol what a dyp [profane].but then agains a Prediction is diferent from a Guarantee.

I'm not saying the Pats are 100% going to win, but the Patriots season low for points is 20 I believe, and that was in a rain/wind storm against the Jets. Playing indoors in the biggest game of the year? At least he could have said 42-38 or something more realistic.

Plaxico is not afraid to talk, gotta give him that. But shooting off your mouth is one thing, backing it up is another. It will all be settled soon.

38-34. The winner of the game will win the turnover margin. The Pats have won 3 Superbowls by a combined 9 points. If they win, I do not see that trend changing. The Giants are on the high of Week 17 to this point, they will not get blown out in a game with equal turnover margin.

17 pts - why not a shutout Plax - nobody takes you seriously anyway! Its like reading the Sunday comics every time he opens his mouth. I'm not saying the Pats can't lose but the G-men better put up AT LEAST 30 to have a chance!

Wow Keith, you're another one of those "fans" who knows more about the personal lives of the players than about their on field accomplishments. I'm sure that earlier in the year you were whinning about Brady being a dead beat dad, or about the hoodie that BB wears. That crap doesn't matter to real fans.
