NFL - Scoop Du Jour

There's a big, fat rumor circulating the rounds that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been trying to convince Bill Cowher to come take over the team and Bucs cornerback Ronde Barber(notes) has apparently heard it.

Barber apparently does not want to play for Cowher, even though the CBS studio analyst led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a Super Bowl win back in 2006. Barber is telling the Pewter Report that he'll retire if the 3-12 Bucs don't bring back head coach Raheem Morris.

Barber's threat doesn't have the Bucs shaking in their boots at this point. Barber was involved with 75 tackles this season but he had zero interceptions. See ya later, Ronde.
