The NFL trading deadline is Oct. 20 and the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that the Cleveland Browns are planning to put quarterback Brady Quinn(notes) up on the block.
Fellow Browns QB Derek Anderson(notes) had a horrendous day on Sunday in a loss to the Buffalo Bills, going 2-for-17 and throwing an interception. But Eric Mangini wants to give him the ball again. "D.A. will continue to start," the coach said.
So Quinn gets to keep watching from the bench. Perhaps the fact that if Quinn took 70 percent of the snaps this season, he would automatically get an extra $11 million as well as the $9.2 million salary over five years he's "earning." If he doesn't play, he won't ever get to that $11 million trigger.
Quinn has appeared in 2 1/2 games so far this season and it doesn't look Mangini wants to give him the ball again if he can help it. So it's likely that Quinn wouldn't mind getting a nice clean slate somewhere else, like former teammate Braylon Edwards(notes) just did with the New York Jets.

Final score: Browns 6, Bills 3.
Do they have a new scoring system in the NFL now that says the team with the fewer points wins?

The receivers are also lazy and don't run precise routes.
Against Cinci DA hits a tight end in the numbers, hits Royal in the face mask and of course hits Braylon in the hands, all were DROPPED!
The lack of imagination from the offensive coordinator puts the Browns in bad situations. Continuously running the ball up the middle on 1st and 2nd down putting us in 3rd and long. No play action passes! Our version of the wildcat is one of the worst. Let Cribbs throw the ball for once, he was a QB.
Losing is also a team effort!
