Cleveland Browns backup quarterback Seneca Williams is likely hoping for a couple of good days of practice. Wednesday he could take a large portion of the reps with the first team. Starter Jake Delhomme(notes) hurt his ankle while throwing an interception in Week 1's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is now wearing a walking boot, according to a source for the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Head coach Eric Mangini told the paper that he never thought about replacing Delhomme during the Browns dismal outing.

Delhomme, who played 11 games last year for the Carolina Panthers and threw 18 interceptions and eight touchdowns, had an MRI, but the team is providing no information about the results.
