If there was any question on how the Denver Broncos would deal with Chicago Bears kick return specialist Devin Hester, punter Todd Sauerbrun made sure the answer was loud and clear according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

''We're not going to play chicken-[poop] ball,'' the former Bears punter told the Denver Post. ''We're not going to kick away from him. Hey, we respect the hell out of him and he's the best, but we have guys on our coverage teams that are paid to make big tackles.''

Todd Sauerbrun is a pudwacker. Hester will run all over him and the Pony's return D. The Windy City Flier will strike again on Sunday. The only question should be "How many times?" Devin Hester, you are ridiculous! Bear down!

Denver will surprise people these last six games of the season. Denver had been able to move the ball but drives would stall. I think that problems fixed with the quarterback being vocal after the talke with Lynch and Bailey. It was evident against Tennesee. Denver has an offense that should be putting up just as many points as the Patriots or more. Let me see, Marshall, Stokley, Walker, Martinez, D. Grahm, Scheffler, Henry. Man that is an allstar offense

i love how the punter is talking trash; what a joke. sauerballs has pretty big guns for a punter, but that's where it stops. he is nothing more than an avg athlete who does not belong on an NFL field. he's not the one making the call anyway, it's the coaching staff. so i don't know why he is talking, much less being listened to - maybe his boyfriend told him it would be cute.

Hey Mark B last time i checked you aren't even on the football field making you less of an athlete than sauerbrun. By the way the Bears offense blows and hester is the only actual weapon they have. It's sad when the only player that puts any real points on the board is your kick returner.

Kicking to Hester is plain dumb. But Sauerbrun was was never the sharpest knife in the drawer. Go Hester burn them for another touchdown return! You are the only weapon we have this year! The defense and offense keeps disappointing us Bears fans. .

Hester is a great returner, but he isn't Superman. Denver is not going anywhere, so talk is cheap. Get to the playoffs and win before you shoot off your big mouth. Sauerbraun coudn't cut it with the Bears. So be careful what you wish for.

#13/14 KC - "last time you checked?" have you ever checked? you don't know me, so no. i could be in a wheelchair, or a pro athlete for all you know. the point i was making is that sauerballs is a punter, and in the bottom 1% of athleticism amongst NFL players. if he couldn't punt, he wouldn't be playing. and everyone knows this (except for you, apparently). so he shouldn't be talking about anything other than the weather, plane ride, team meal, his leg, his foot, or maybe something about his shoe. but you could put any punter in his place, and it wouldn't impact denver's decision. he's almost as irrelevant to the equation as the ball. and that's what him talking is kind of like, the ball saying denver isn't going to kick to hester.

LOL, it is simply gamesmanship. The Steelers yammered all week how they'd run the ball down the throats of the Broncos (worst in NFL against the run at the time) before their October matchup, with Big Ben even wondering aloud if he'd throw 10 passes -- then the Steelers came out throwing and throwing. Of course the Broncos and Sauebrun will kick to Hester but with caution and away from him if needed. But they aint gonna announce the actual gameplan. Doh.

I can't wait until the Raiders blow another No:1 pick on a LT (Jake Long - Michigan) , then they can have two underachieving losers at both end of their O-line. Denver is starting to feel it, and will destroy the Bears, but I wouldn't put too much stock in what Sauerbrun says, I am sure they will directional kick where possible and squib the kick-offs.
