Brady defends Romo and pre-playoff vacation

Any criticism surrounding the Romo-Simpson bye week vaction is "absurd'' according to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Speaking during his weekly appearance on WEEI, a sports radio station in Boston, Brady took up for Cowboys QB Tony Romo according to the Dallas Morning News.

"Everybody has lives," Brady said. "We work seven months, eight months, out of the year. You still have a life to live. On the weekends you do whatever you do to relax and rejuvenate. It's not like they can go to the local eatery in Dallas and hang out."

Brady stated what really made the difference: "If they caught the ball in the end zone at the end, nobody makes any mention (of the Mexico trip)," Brady said. "You alleviate a lot of criticism by winning. That's what I've realized for eight years."

    Its the truth we expect only what we want and dont realize that they are humans just like us. so screw the paparatzzi and sports analist that sit there and criticise because those are the ones who have no lives..

    And people have the nerve to still hate on my Patriots and say they are not "classy" and this and that. Brady is the best quarterback ever, and a stand up guy! The Pats are always giving respect to there opponent, never talking bad about them and always helping the other teams players up at the end up plays, yet they are always disrescpected!!! The Pats are gonna kill LT and his whinning little mouth and Rivers with his cocky attitude on Sunday!! LT has no class and either does Rivers, and I am just waiting for one of them to come out and say something nasty in the media about the Pats to give us even more motivation!!! 2 more games baby!!! 19-0!!!! Go Pats!!!!!

    Hey #5, you can't say they ALWAYS show opponents respect. The Pats didn't show much class last year in the playoffs after beating the Bolts..

    No I actually disliked Brady for the way he handled the baby thing. Its really none of my business though I suppose. DUDE is freaking hot though. LOL
    Anyway.... I am great. I appreciate Brady realizing that Tony is the real deal and standing up for him. He appears to be a nice guy.... They actually had a news story last night on the news about how to deal with the depression related to the Cowboys losing..I laughed so much..

    Not a Pat fan. Not even close, but I must say Brady is the best QB in every aspect of the position. I am happy to be witnessing his career.

    10 Redneck Babe you can defend the Bolts but did you see merriman taunt the colts players with the knockout dance on ther 50 on the COlt logo? I think fans read to much into it.,its a part of the game now.tautning and showing off.I think its fair to say all NFL teams and its athletes at somepoint display that.BTW RED nice pic.

    cowboyz were overconfident, arrogant and sloppy that's why they lost.....why does jerry jones have to be on the sideline....ridiculous.....i really thought the giants had the advantage here and i'm so glad they won...TO's teams seem to take on his personality which isn't very flattering...loved his fake crying!

    Dallas is still very immature... I love my team..... I don't see anyone in here talking smack about the pats that is a cowboy fan so you should focus on those who are.
    San Diego. Rivers seems to be very cocky and I dont know why.

    this is off the subject but..At first i thought TO was just being sentimental and over sensative which is ok.But i think he may be mentally unstable he INT on TV he was having a meltdown.or does he just feel repsonsible for the Dallas letdown because he sent T romo and JS on that vacation...."He's mah QB!"

    I hate the Patriots, but none of the players themselves. That is because they are winning so much. Same hatred towards the Cowboys of the 90's. With that said, Brady is a class act. How many of you pukes who are Patriots fans are coming to Romo's defense like Brady did? I would venture to say very few. As a Cowboys fan for over 35 years, I have a lot of respect for Brady.

    Redneck Cheeleader, The bolts trash talked before that game to the Patriots, and Merriman did that dance over Brady after he sacked him. The Patriots were just giving it back to them after the game. It's not classless to brag about winning to a team that bragged about how they were going to beat you before the game even started.

    T BRADY is the best.But Doesnt anyone here remember that FAVRE won the MVP 3 times? he was awesome.I was watching the SB from 97 with the Bronc and the Pack.Brett has lost alot of velocity on the ball.but can still throw.He lost alot of mobility.i never realized how good he was till i saw old tape.
