The Atlanta Falcons neared an agreement with former Buffalo Bills head coach Mike Mularkey as offensive coordinator according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. An announcement could come as soon as Friday, according to a person within the organization.
Mularkey Miami's tight end coach last season. He also has coached with Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh, where he spent eight seasons from 1996 to 2003.
Mularkey's reputation fits new head coach Mike Smith's philosophy about run the football with authority to set up the vertical passing attack.

His Dolphins scenario was that he was kept on as a coach in a system he didn't like/want/develop.
I went to high school with Mike... If Atlanta gives him the reins, he'll do good. Trust me.
As long as they don't just want another puppet coach.
