Well, we're now guaranteed to have several more months (or years) of the whole "Will Brett unretire?" talk. Appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre talked about his status according to ProFootballTalk.com
"I think when training camp gets close, something's bound to happen," Favre told Letterman.
Letterman then asked him what that means.
"I don't know," Favre said. "Did I just say that?"

wtf is this. He actually said he's retired! on the show. What him saying something like, I still love tha game suddenly means he's retired. This is getting stupid. Its like paparrazi taking a picture of a celebrity that just ate and saying she's pregnant.

HOWEVER, the past 10 years or so, he's been an average QB at best who has come up awfully short in big spots.
The playoffs are where legends are might, right? Right. Let's take a look at his playoff performances the past 9 years, and I'd like for somebody out there to convince me that the numbers below are indicative of a player that receives more hype than any other figure outside of Muhammad Ali in the history of sports. Shall we...
1998 - 0-1, 2 TDs, 2 INTs, 79.7 rating
1999 - no playoffs
2000 - no playoffs
2001 - 1-1, 4 TDs, 7 INTs, 67.0 rating
2002 - 0-1, 1 TD, 2 INTs, 54.4 rating
2003 - 1-1, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 94.2 rating (This was actually a decent postseason for Favre... until he threw maybe the dumbest pass I've ever seen - the pick to Brian Dawkins)
2004 - 0-1, 1 TD, 4 INTs, 55.4 rating
2005 - no playoffs
2006 - no playoffs
2007 - 1-1, 5 TDs, 2 INTs, 99.0 rating (again, another decent postseason, only to be capped by a horrible game ending pick to Jason Webster, and after being given chance after chance to move the ball downfield when Tynes kept missing field goals)
OK, let's hear it...
