San Francisco 49ers holdout Michael Crabtree(notes) is apparently getting bored just watching games this season. The word is that he's ready to have his agent sit down and negotiate with the team that seems to be doing just fine without him, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. After all, the Niners are leading the NFC West right now.
So maybe the economy has changed Crabtree's hopes to sign a whopping contract for whatever team was wooing him for next year's draft (the New York Jets perhaps?). The sudden change of heart by Crabtree doesn't seem to have any trigger.
So the two sides are apparently ready to pick up where they left off and start talking about what a No. 10 draft pick should get instead of how much better Crabtree thinks he is than players that got picked higher than him.

I've always held that college is not a measure of how well a player will be in the NFL - college is boys playing against boys. The NFL is men playing against these boys and that's a whole different game.
The "logic" of the draft picks and how much money these unproven players receive has always eluded me and this is a perfect example why. This little brat is complaining about tens of millions when he has done nothing to earn it yet?
How can a boy who has never played a down in the NFL think he's worth more than men who have been playing for years in the league?
