San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Greg Manusky spoke with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and coach Jason Garrett on Wednesday about the defensive coordinator position, according to the Star-Telegram.

He's been coordinating for the Niners for the last four seasons. He has already interviewed for the head-coaching job with the Carolina Panthers and for the defensive-coordinator opening with the Arizona Cardinals, the paper notes. Thursday he visits with the San Diego Chargers.

The Star-Telegram reports that the Chargers are believed to be the favorite for Manusky's services. The 43-year-old Manusky worked there as the linebackers coach from 2002-2006 before moving up the coast to San Francisco.

Manusky spent a dozen seasons in the NFL as a linebacker for the Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs.
