Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson(notes) hasn't even played two full seasons just yet but he's already considered one of the best at his position. He apparently changed agents in the middle of the season the other day and the new guy is one who Philadelphians don't have fond memories of: Drew Rosenhaus.
Rosenhaus gained a lot of dislike in Philly because he is the rep for controversial receiver Terrell Owens(notes), who pulled all sorts of stunts while playing in the City of Brotherly Love. Now Rosenhaus is taking the reins of Jackson's career and the team apparently would like to start talking about a long-term deal (even though nothing could be officially signed till March of next year), according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
The Eagles have locked up such young players as Shawn Andrews(notes) and Mike Patterson(notes) in the past but neither of them seemed to have the probable high-dollar amount needed to sign the way Jackson does. There is no doubt that the talks will be long and sometimes unpleasant.
