QB JaMarcus Russell would finish the season with exactly 2,000 yards passing in 16 games at his current pace during a season in which two NFL quarterbacks are on pace for 5,000 yards and eight more could break 4,000.

Russell completed a season-best 63.9 percent of his passes (14 for 22) for 109 yards but threw his fifth interception in three games in Sunday's 24-16 loss in San Diego.
Advice: Russell has completed 48.4 percent of his passes (88 for 182) for 1,000 yards and two touchdowns. He's also been picked off nine times.

Russell had another poor game in Sunday's 24-16 loss at San Diego, throwing for just 109 yards with an interception.
Recommendation: Surprisingly, Oakland actually had a chance to tie the game late, but Russell could not make the necessary plays. Russell was sacked five times and just doesn't seem to have it, although the Raiders don't really have any viable options on the bench. They'll probably stick with Russell for the remainder of the year simply for the fact that they have no other choice.
