Jacobs continued his awful season with 12 carries for 39 yards and a TD in Sunday's 34-31 OT win over the Falcons. Advice: Jacobs was fantasy gold last season with 15 TDs. He has scored three times this season and failed to reach 50 yards for the third time this year. That kind of production is embarrassing for a running back once considered to be closing in on elite status. |

RB Brandon Jacobs, who suffered a leg injury late in the third quarter of the Giants' win against Atlanta, was not on the team's injury report. Jacobs, who suffered the injury late in the third quarter, told reporters after the game that he probably could have returned, but head coach Tom Coughlin said that the team's medical personnel didn't feel it would be wise, and as such kept him out for the rest of the game. |

Jacobs has averaged 5.1 yards per carry over the last four weeks, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Recommendation: Jacobs' problems from early in the year were due to running the departed Derrick Ward's plays which required more stopping and starting to which Jacobs, given his massive frame, is less suited. But the last four weeks, the Giants have had him run in more of the downhill style he did last year. With Danny Ware now back to handle more third-down duties, Jacobs can focus on power running. |
