Larry Holder, of the Biloxi Sun-Herald, reports New Orleans Saints WR David Patten (groin) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 3. He has been ruled out of the team's Week 5 game.

Patten has been ruled out of Monday night's game against Minnesota because of a groin injury.
Advice: Patten will join No. 1 receiver Marques Colston on the Saints' sideline. In their absence, expect Lance Moore and Robert Meachem to get lots of looks from quarterback Drew Brees.
