The 2017 NFL offseason is underway, and every fan is just hoping their team finds a way to get better over these next few months. We've picked out one move each team could make that would make that happen… NFC East Cowboys: Turn Tony Romo into a pass rusher Jerry Jones has already stated his desire for the Cowboys to land a "War Daddy" to play on the defensive line. There aren't many of those available on the free agent market that make sense for the Cowboys, so dangling Romo as a trade piece might be the only way to land one. Eagles: Get DeSean Jackson back to Philly The Eagles need receivers, and Jackson is familiar with the system. Adding a deep threat would open up all of those short throws
Martellus Bennett, the Patriots tight end who just won his first Super Bowl, should have the ability to cash in this offseason as a free agent. Unless, of course, he’s willing to take less money to remain in New England, which is exactly what Patriots fans are hoping for. But those fans probably shouldn’t get their hopes up. Or, at the very least, they should keep those hopes to themselves, because on Wednesday, Bennett told fans to stop telling him to take a pay cut. He did it in the most Bennett way. On Twitter, he wrote: “All I’m saying is cut your own grass don’t be all in my garden f------ with my fruit while weeds are growing all over yours.” Makes sense. He also posted this: He’s not
If Larry Fitzgerald wants an extra week or two of summer, Larry Fitzgerald should get it. The Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys are set to meet in the 2017 Hall of Fame Game, which is exciting news for fans of those teams, but less-than-stellar news for players. While the other 30 NFL teams will have four preseason games, the Cardinals and Cowboys will have five.
