Deshaun Watson messes with Texas, says Cowboys promised to draft him

Earlier this week, Deshaun Watson returned to Fort Worth for the second straight year to accept the Davey O’Brien Award, given to the nation’s top college quarterback. And he used the opportunity to remind everyone of the conversation he had with Dallas Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett the previous year. “I know you all remember last year. I said I like being in Fort Worth, Texas, and I told you — I promised you — that I’d be back here. And I told Coach Garrett if I’m back here, you have to draft me,” Watson said. “So I know … Tony Romo is healthy. NFL Free Agency

In football, as in life, not all things are created equal. Yes, football is a team game, and at the end of the day the group always outweighs the individual. That said,  the stark reality is that there are certain players on the Patriots who we need to put in a category all their own, as they are simply irreplaceable. Players who represent the heart and soul of the team. Amazing teammates and fan favorites who the Patriots are absolutely going to figure out a way to keep at all costs. Eagles PR director hired by the Bills

Philadelphia Eagles director of public relations Derek Boyko has been hired by the Bills to be Buffalo’s new vice president of communications, according to an official announcement. This is a big loss for the Eagles. Derek had been with the organization for 17 years. He did a great job as the team’s head PR guy. Speaking from personal experience, he was very approachable and willing to help with anything I ever needed. I truly appreciate him allowing Bleeding Green Nation to have credentialed access (with multiple writers) to Eagles practices and games every year. BGN wouldn’t fully be what it is today without his assistance. Not only is Derek a true professional, but he’s also just a great guy.
