Lewis, who underwent offseason surgery to repair a torn pectoral injury he suffered in the season finale versus Denver, is being held out of the Chiefs' organized team activities, and it is uncertain if he will be ready in time for training camp, the Kansas City Star reports.
Recommendation: Though he is sitting out OTAs, Lewis is still putting in work, gaining valuable mental reps and discussing playing styles with free agent corner addition Stanford Routt. The third-year defensive back is projected to start opposite Eric Berry at free safety, and while the possibility exists that he will miss a portion of training camp as he recovers from surgery, the team does expect him to be ready for the season.
