Top three Cleveland area sports bars to catch NFL football games
If you weren't able to score tickets to see the Cleveland Browns or if you want to see your other favorite NFL team, you can still watch the game surrounded by masses of fellow football fans in Cleveland, Ohio. In the downtown area, there are a variety of beer and food drenched sports bars with dozens of televisions that proudly show all of the big games. These bars often also host game day specials for fans. Here we will look at the top three sports bars in Cleveland where you can sit down, stretch out and catch a game.
The Winking Lizard
Located in downtown Cleveland, The Winking Lizard is a popular bar and restaurant among Clevelanders. The beer list is a mile long and there are enough televisions to play a variety of NFL games every Sunday. This bar and restaurant is well-known for its chicken wings, but the burgers are a close second. Parking can be tricky, but street parking is free on Sundays. The Thirsty Parrot
The Thirsty Parrot is very close to The Winking Lizard at 812 Huron Road in downtown Cleveland. This bar and restaurant has a parking lot attached, so parking is easier, but you still want to arrive early to ensure a spot and a place to sit. During the warmer months, there is a patio available, but this will not apply to most NFL games. For the rest of the season, you can enjoy bank of televisions, excellent bartenders and a variety of beers.
House of Cues
To mix things up a bit, we will add the House of Cues. This bar is also located in downtown Cleveland, but in the Warehouse District area. In addition to a large beer selection and excellent mixed cocktails, you can also enjoy great Mexican fare.
