It’s Time to Believe in Tebow
The Bible says the Sabbath is supposed to be an off day. Those aren't the exact words. Leviticus uses more "thous" and "thys," but the gist of it is pretty clear.
He even put in overtime.
It wound up being quite the shift. At the end of four quarters, Timmy T. had thrown for 236 yards, rushed for 50 more, and scored two touchdowns. Then, on the first play of the extra period, he hit Demaryius Thomas for an 80-yard touchdown and defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Though I'm from Arizona and have zero ties to the Broncos, I was giddy with delight during all 11 seconds of that electrifying play.
After the game Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey said, "They say he couldn't throw. They said we wouldn't be able to run the ball on them. We did that. I wonder what they're going to say next week."
If they're smart, they won't say anything.
That probably won't happen, though—not with the Broncos playing the No. 1-seeded New England Patriots.
I can hear it now: "His throwing motion is weak." "Half his passes hardly spiral." "His skill set isn't suited for the NFL."
Who cares if his form doesn't match that of Tom Brady? The man now has 19 TDs and an 8-4 record in 12 starts this season.
Thou better be ready, Bill Belichick. Tebow Time comes a day early this week.
