Texans sign LB June

HOUSTON (Ticker) - The Houston Texans on Monday signed free-agent linebacker Cato June.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

June, 29, spent the last two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, starting 28 games and registering 141 tackles and two interceptions. He spent his first four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, which drafted him in the sixth round in 2003.

June’s best season came in 2006, when he helped the Colts win the Super Bowl and was named to the Pro Bowl. He had 142 tackles, one sack, three interceptions and two forced fumbles.

In 88 career games, Juno has recorded 490 career tackles, one sack and 12 interceptions.
