Strahan joins FOX
NEW YORK (TICKER) —Former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan joined Fox Sports as an NFL studio analyst Tuesday.
Heading into broadcasting was an expected move for the charismatic Strahan, who announced his retirement earlier this month following a 15-year career.
At Fox, Strahan joins host Curt Menefee and analysts Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long on an award-winning pregame show.
Strahan, a natural for the television spotlight with his gap-tooth grin, has worked for Fox part-time in recent years, appearing on NFL Sunday as well as “The Best Damn Sports Show Period.”
During his playing career, the 36-year-old Strahan made seven Pro Bowls and his 141 1/2 sacks rank fifth in league history.
