NFL WR prospect Maclin to have MRI
INDIANAPOLIS (TICKER) —Jeremy Maclin, who is expected to be one of the first receivers taken in April’s draft, will undergo a precautionary MRI on his injured left knee Monday.
Maclin suffered the injury at the NFL scouting combine when he got tangled up running a deep sideline route. It appeared to be a hyper-extended knee.
The former All-American was helped off the field, but returned and continued pass-catching drills.
“Up until the time he got shaken up, I thought he was having a phenomenal workout,” an NFL personnel executive told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The 6-1, 200-pounder racked up 2,833 all-purpose yards for Missouri last season.
