Jets agree to terms with K Feely

FLORHAM PARK, New Jersey (Ticker)—The New York Jets wasted little time finding a replacement placekicker.

The Jets on Wednesday agreed to a one-year deal with Jay Feely just hours after Mike Nugent signed a free-agent deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Glenn Schwartzman, the agent for Feely, confirmed the signing to PA SportsTicker.

Feely was signed by the Jets when Nugent was injured in Week One last season. He converted 24-of-28 field-goal attempts, converting both chances of 50-plus yards.

An eight-year veteran, Feely, 32, has connected on 201-of-247 field goals with the Jets, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons.
