BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA (TICKER)—The Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday released veteran defensive tackle Kimo von Oelhoffen.

Von Oelhoffen, who has been slowed by a knee injury this summer, registered two tackles in eight games for the Eagles last season.

In 198 career games, von Oelhoffen has collected 26 1/2 sacks. He registered a career-high eight sacks in 2003.

To take von Oelhoffen’s roster spot, the Eagles signed defensive tackle Mike Marquardt.
