PHILADELPHIA (TICKER) -- Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Darren Howard underwent abdominal surgery, the team announced on Thursday.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Bill Meyers at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.
A nine-year veteran, Howard recorded 10 sacks and 26 tackles in 16 games this past season. Howard has accumulated 60 1/2 sacks and 331 tackles in 129 games with the New Orleans and Philadelphia.
