Colts RB Keith arrested
INDIANAPOLIS (TICKER) —Indianapolis Colts reserve running back Kenton Keith was arrested early Sunday morning after refusing to leave a nightclub, according to a police report.
Keith, 27, was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was out of jail Monday after posting a $1,000 bond.
The Colts acknowledged the arrest in a statement released Monday afternoon, claiming that they will penalize Keith accordingly. His hearing has been set for Wednesday.
According to police, security guards were attempting to clear a parking lot at the Cloud 9 nightclub in Indianapolis at approximately 3 a.m. EDT on Sunday.
Keith and several other men refused to leave the area and were laughing and dancing, according to the police report. Keith reportedly “kept hollering, ‘I’m a Colts player. I’m not doing anything wrong and I will leave when I am ready.’”
Keith appeared in all 16 games with the Colts last season, rushing for 533 yards and scoring four touchdowns.
