Cardinals sign Hodel

TEMPE, ARIZONA (TICKER) —The Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday re-signed Nathan Hodel, the team’s long snapper for the past six seasons, to a four-year contract.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The University of Illinois product entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent rookie with the Carolina Panthers. He spent the first six games of his rookie season on the Panthers’ practice squad before signing with Arizona on October 26, 2001.

Hodel made his NFL debut in the Cardinals’ 1992 season opener and has played in 96 consecutive games since then.
