TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday re-signed a trio of players, including safety Jermaine Phillips.

The team also re-signed tight end Jerramy Stevens and wide receiver Cortez Hankton. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Phillips, 29, was the key signing for Tampa Bay. The top safety available in free agency, he had three interceptions and finished sixth on the team with 86 tackles despite missing five games last season.

A fifth-round pick of the Bucs in 2002, Phillips has 535 tackles and 11 interceptions in 94 career games. He also has three sacks and 10 forced fumbles.

Stevens, 29, had 36 receptions for 397 yards and two touchdowns last season with Tampa Bay. The seven-year veteran has 184 receptions and 21 career touchdowns with the Bucs and Seattle Seahawks, who drafted him in the first round in 2002.

Hankton was placed on the injured reserve list late in August and missed the entire 2008 season. Entering his sixth NFL season, Hankton had 34 receptions for 310 yards and two touchdowns.
