Buccaneers sign LB Lehman

TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed linebacker Teddy Lehman on Wednesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed but the Tampa Tribune reported it was a one-year deal for Lehman, who spent his first four seasons with the Detroit Lions.

On Tuesday, Tampa Bay announced the signing of free agent linebacker Leon Joe.

A second-round pick of the Lions in 2004, Lehman’s best season came as a rookie, when he registered 103 tackles while playing in all 16 games.

Lehman, 27, appeared in just nine games combined the following two seasons before seeing action in all 16 games in 2007, posting 27 tackles in a reserve role.
