Packers QB Rodgers An Experiment In Contrasts

  • Print

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers(notes) is having trouble staying on his feet this season, but yet he still finds a way to throw the ball.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Rodgers' 110.4 passer rating ranks No. 1 in the NFL this season, but in just seven games, he's been sacked an NFL-high 31 times.

The Packers quarterback, who has to feel a little like David Carr(notes) but with more accuracy and talent, has thrown for 14 touchdowns and only two interceptions.

Colts QB Peyton Manning(notes) is No. 2 in passer rating (109.3) and he's been sacked five times this season.

macarthy keeps saying we need to clean up this and we need to clean up that and it seems as nothing is getting done. The o line is definately the major first step then all the stupid penaltes week after week. After 7 weeks you would think at this stage there would be some cleaning up but this fan sees none for the better. I like Aaron and feel he is a great quarterback but his own team is getting him killed come on coach get your head out of your butt and get your men right.

i dislike the Packers... But if any team has the money under the salary cap to upgrade their o-line next year then its them. They don't have any high profile players on the team besides Rodgers. They should be able to improve the o-line through free agency pretty fast.

Aaron Rodgers is going to be a great quarterback. But if the pack don't do something about that offensive line issue he won't be healthy long enough to achieve his potential.

The only time he isn't sacked is when there is a holding penalty. .

Some upgrades to the o-line should cut down the sacks........................oh and help the running game also.
