Browns Leaning Toward Quinn Vs. Ravens

  • Print

The Cleveland Browns are expected to make Brady Quinn(notes) the starting quarterback for Monday night's game at Baltimore, two sources tell ESPN.

However, the team will not make an official announcement regarding the quarterback situtation until Wednesday.

Derek Anderson(notes) has fallen to the bottom of the NFL in quarterback ranking and has nine interceptions against just two touchdown passes in six starts.

Quinn has started three games this season for the Browns, all losses to the Vikings, Broncos and Ravens. He had just one touchdown pass and three interceptions in those games.

Hey Scott P, Poster 38: The term rat hole was first associated by the Houston Oilers player Ernest Givens before a playoff game WHEN THE REAL BROWNS WERE IN TOWN. Givens was referring to the city of Cleveland (which filed for bankruptcy) and old Cleveland Stadium. What name should I refer to Cleveland:
    a. Poverty central?
    b. The US version of Chernobyl?
    c. Three mile Island revisited?
    d. the midwest version of New Jersey?

Calling Cleveland a rat hole seems to irritate quite a few Browns fans, so I will continue to use it. If you do not like it, shut up you pie hole / rat hole...etc.

Nice coaching Mangini. You bench Quinn 2 1/2 weeks in, now your gonna go back to him? Paul Brown is somewhere laughing at this rudderless ship. Go Bears!

    things the browns should do:
    1. Start Corey Williams.
    2. Start Mike Adams and bench Mcdonald
    3. Start Fraley @ rt guard so he can help Mack
    4. Run Harrison @ least 12x a game
    5. start Robiskie
    6. Bench St. Clair, he of the false start

I look forward to new management in Cleveland...

Mr. Common Sense - If you must continue to berate Cleveland, buy a thesaurus and come up with something more original than "rat hole, " You use it in every other post and it makes you sound like you will blush if you come up with something more original. Then while you are trying to figure out what a thesaurus is, shut your rat hole!

Just released by the NFL office, per the NFL Channel. The worst selling NFL merchandise is the Browns stuff. Even the NFL said that, they never saw one teams sales so low. They even suggested and laughed about a fire sale and garage sale for Browns merchandise. HERE IS WHAT WE DO:

We auction off the team on E-Bay, starting bid $50.00

We auction off that rat hole city of Cleveland also: Starting bid: Free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ROCK ON LOSERS!

Good advice. I wonder if there is a way I can read these articles without having to read Mr. CS?

At any rate, we can't control what here says so ignoring him is the best advice....

Finally they make a good decision. 3 games at the helm isn't enough. You have to see if the guy has potential or not. Otherwise you will be in the same condition next year that you are in today.

They should have traded Derek Anderson in the offseason. Now he has no trade value whatsoever so they're gonna have to release him and they're not going to get any sort of compensation.

Every team should have a serviceable backup but not a guy who can come in a take the job from the starter... It just causes years of indecisiveness for the coach.

I don't remember which analyst said this but they were exactly right, I quote... "When you have two quarterbacks you don't have any quarterbacks".

Hey Poster 21: New governmnet in Cleveland - STILL A BUNCH OF LYING CORRUPT DEMOCRATS. Nothing will ever change in that rat hole. That new movie coming out "2012", is that when the Browns will win their next football game or sell out that rat hole stadium (and still lose).

I keep checking obr.com and there isn't anything new... oh well @ least the Cavs are playing the Magic on TNT on Wednesday...
#8, I'm w/you in reference to Cribbs playing running back. He is up to 215, and while a little tall, most definitely could be bounced on outside plays and is more than willing to learn anything, even lowering his pad level...
I love Harrison. I think he could be a star if he ever got a legit chance....

leave because of life, and someone loses their mind...

but Kucinich and Jackson are still here. the latter just won re-election 4 doing what ?
and i would be willing to bet that a majority would vote for dimora or russo if they were on the ballot next week...

Hey Poster 17: Give me a break - YOUR RATHOLE CITY AND TEAM ONLY HAS TO SELL OUT 8 GAMES PER YEAR AND THEY CANNOT DO THAT. Don't tell me that the Browns Fans are loyal. They are a bunch of inner city trash, suburd trailer park rednecks, and those losers in the dog pound are on weekend release from a mental facility.

Hey Jim W, didn't you hear, we voted in a new form of county government last week. Fat Jimmy and Russo are gone next year. Their county positions have been eliminated so they'll be looking for new jobs, or they'll be in jail. One of the other.

does any body here have a brain.

    lets keep re-electing those guys.

Geez Mr Common, why don't you tell everyone how you really feel about Cleveland. I can only assume that you live somewhere far worse off and the only way you can feel better is to trash some other city down on it's luck. I almost feel sorry for you.
