According to his agent Drew Rosenhaus, the deal signed on Tuesday by San Francisco 49ers star running back Frank Gore was a four-year deal worth $28 million, including $13.8 million in guaranteed money.

Last year Gore gained 1,695 yards on the ground in his second season in the league, and the soon-to-be 24-year-old running back has proven that he is 100-percent recovered from a college knee injury that kept him from being taken higher in the draft a few years ago.

He has averaged 5.2 yards per carry on 439 career attempts, but equally impressive is the fact that he really came on this past season as a receiver, adding 61 catches out of the backfield.

"This is a very good deal for both sides he [Gore] gets his money now and nearly half the deal is guaranteed so if he keeps gaining yards like last year he still gets another big money deal before he turns 30 years old," said one league official after hearing of the deal.

The completion of Gore's deal also means that Rosenhaus Sports has now negotiated $300 million in new contracts this offseason, covering a total of 21 players, and still has Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, who would receive a new deal if traded before the draft. Rep1 Sports, the new company started by Bruce and Ryan Tollner, is running in second place in terms of "new dollars," as they have negotiated over $100 million in new contracts this offseason.
