FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Linebacker Channing Crowder(notes) and nose tackle Jason Ferguson(notes) will miss the Miami Dolphins' game at New England on Sunday.

The Dolphins downgraded both players on their injury report to out, weakening their defence for the matchup against Tom Brady(notes) and the Patriots. Crowder missed last Sunday's win against the New York Jets with a left shoulder injury, and Ferguson has an elbow injury.

Reggie Torbor(notes) is expected to replace Crowder in the lineup and Paul Soliai(notes) is in line for the first start of his three-year career with Ferguson out.

The Dolphins also announced Saturday night that they signed rookie linebacker J.D. Folsom(notes) off their practice squad and released linebacker William Kershaw(notes).

    All in all, the team has a good foundation for the future. Always a Phins Fan !!! Through the rough and mostly rough I've been loyal. I truly feel deep down New England is going to be shocked as is the rest of the NFL. Miami is almost full circle. A pair of running backs that can eat yards. An offensive line, while not great at pass protection, that can simply eat defensive linemen and open holes. A young secondary, while mere rookies, have actually shown some great poise against the finest QB's and wide-outs. Think about that. Our defense may be giving up those pass yards, but our line is pretty damn good right now. You add a linebacker who can cover next draft, a safety that can hawk for the ball and think about what our defense will be ? Miami is almost there and I think a East Division clamp is in our future. Brady will soon fear M I A M I !!!! This season or next, better late than never I say !

    Having to start three rookie defensive backs and being ranked 21st in pass defense,
    It don't look good for the Fins against the cheaters. But who knows.....

    * maybe Brady gets hurt
