Arizona Cardinals looking for answers after puzzling home loss to Carolina

  • Print

TEMPE, Ariz. - For much of their history the Arizona Cardinals haven't had to deal with success.

Even after reaching the Super Bowl, they're still figuring it out.

The Cardinals (4-3) followed one of their most memorable victories - a nationally televised road win over the New York Giants - with a puzzling 34-21 loss to the Carolina Panthers (3-4).

Arizona turned the ball over six times - five on interceptions by quarterback Kurt Warner(notes) - and dropped to 1-3 at University of Phoenix Stadium.

I felt like I was watching last year's play-off game in reverse...

Every good quarterback has had days like that. I'm just glad that the Carolina defense was able to prove to Jake that that is a true statement and that by coming full circle in such a spectacular fashion , he'll get his confidence back. Hopefully by giving Kurt the same drubbing he got in the playoffs last year will let him see that he is a good quarterback. Not great mind you, but good enough to get the job done, and that's all that matters in the NFL.

    Are you drunk?
They lost because Warner threw 5 picks and fumbled once.

Guess they figured Carolina was going to lay down for them. Instead, they got a buzz saw by the names Stewart, and Williams.
