Saints sign offensive lineman Joe McMahon
NEW ORLEANS (AP)—The New Orleans Saints have signed rookie free agent offensive lineman Joe McMahon and waived guard Shawn Flanagan.
The club, in a statement Thursday, said McMahon, 6-4, 295 pounds, played one season at Central Michigan and started 12 games for the Chippewas in 2008, five at right guard and seven at center.
He transferred to CMU after initially enrolling at Iowa State and then playing a season at Joliet (Ill.) Junior College, where he was named a first-team NJCAA All-American in 2006.
The Saints signed Flanagan, who played tackle at the University of Sioux Falls, after trying him out during rookie minicamp in May.

this guy is a great defensive player from a great defensive team.
Last year, both Wake Forest and Vandy had great defenses and if either of them had a decent offense they would be playing in a BCS game.
Wow what are you talking about dude? Wrong blog i think......
