CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—The Washington Redskins have shaken up their offensive line, inserting Mike Williams at right guard and putting Chad Rinehart(notes) on the inactive list against Carolina.

Williams has battled weight issues and hasn’t played in a game since the 2005 season. He has also played only tackle in the past.

Rinehart had replaced Randy Thomas(notes), who’s out for the year with a torn triceps.

Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart(notes) (Achilles’ tendon) was active Sunday despite being listed as questionable. Safety Chris Harris(notes) (knee) was active for the first time this season, and linebacker Na’il Diggs(notes) returned from a rib injury.

Returner Mike Goodson(notes) (concussion) did not dress for Carolina. Kenny Moore was to return kickoffs with Tyrell Sutton(notes) inactive.

a third year player with all 3 years under the same line coach & scheme should be able to start at his position. If Rhinehart can't play why is he on the team? Where is Pete Kendall? The Redskins have arguably the best offensive line coach in NFL history and the worst o-line personel in the league.

Who was the other inactive? Would like to see Aldridge. Assuming it was Mitchell.

Rinehart is a waste of a roster spot.
