Rams QB Bulger out 3-6 weeks with broken leg
ST. LOUIS (AP)—St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger(notes) will be sidelined three to six weeks because of a fractured left leg sustained in Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The team said it would not place Bulger on injured reserve.
Bulger underwent two MRIs on Monday, one on his groin and hamstring and a second for what the team believed was a swollen knee. He also was to be tested for concussion-related symptoms Tuesday after a physically demanding loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Coach Steve Spagnuolo said the first MRI revealed a strain. Spagnuolo held his news conference Monday before Bulger’s second MRI, but had not been optimistic about the quarterback’s chance of playing this week.
“Marc Bulger’s pretty banged up,” the coach said. “Marc’s got a few things going on.”
Bulger has completed 56.7 percent of his passes for five touchdowns and six interceptions for the Rams (1-9). Backup Kyle Boller(notes) will make his third start of the year Sunday against the Seahawks.
Boller has played in three games, completing 57 percent of his passes with two touchdown passes and three interceptions. He finished a 36-17 loss to the Packers after Bulger injured his rotator cuff on a sack and started the next two games, a 35-0 loss to the 49ers and 38-10 loss to the Vikings, but was shaken up in that game and replaced by Bulger.
Linebacker Chris Chamberlain(notes) and offensive tackle Jason Smith(notes) also will be tested for possible concussions on Tuesday.
Fullback Mike Karney(notes) was to undergo an MRI on his neck. Offensive tackle Alex Barron(notes) (mild ankle sprain) and running back Steven Jackson (lower back strain) had more minor injuries.
Spagnuolo was hopeful guard Richie Incognito(notes) can return after missing three games plus the bye week with a foot injury.

The guy goes in to be evaluated for a concusion and comes out with a fractured leg. Riiiiigggghhhhtt. What really happened was that Spags finally grew a pair and told Marc that he's finished. In order to let Marc save a little face they are calling is injury a "broken leg". That way he wont have a concusion on his record when he looks for somewhere else to work.
Bulger is done in St. Louis. Period. He isn't hurt at all.

Need to send the Ram Boyz back to SoCal where they belong! They were borrowed by the STL and won a SB, but the time has passed and it's time to get back where they are appreciated and an owner will spend some real money on them. Say good bye STL, the stadium is being built and the real Ram fans are waiting.

The Rams are simply paying the cost for being snowblind - Bulger over Warner, give me a break...Bulger over Jay Cutler, eat dirt. Then they had the nerve to trade Bruce, Holt, Pace, and a whole slew of starters. If we had the 1st ten picks in the draft we still couldn't manage a first down. Our real problem started when the Rams front office refused to place Lovie Smith at the helm of our team and Mike Martz in charge of the O! What we need are better decision-making coaches and front office people however, the Rams as an organization won't have a winning season for maybe 5 years and that's only if they make the right decisions.
11. Denver (from St. Louis) - Jay Cutler, QB Vanderbilt
15. St. Louis (from Atlanta through Denver) - Tye Hill, Cb Clemson
...LMAO and you should too!!!!!!
Thank God I'm a Cardinals fan.
