DETROIT (AP)—Aaron Rodgers(notes) matched a career high with three touchdown passes and Green Bay beat the Detroit Lions 34-12 on Thursday, giving the Packers three straight wins and improving their playoff prospects.

The Lions lost their sixth straight game on Thanksgiving, setting a franchise record, and had an emotional setback after their biggest comeback win since 1957.

Matthew Stafford(notes), playing with a sore non-throwing shoulder, threw one touchdown pass and four interceptions in a rookie-like performance, after passing for five scores in Sunday’s win over Cleveland. Detroit trailed the Browns by 21 before coming all the way back.

The Lions (2-9) looked as if they were building off that momentum by recovering a fumble on the opening kickoff and with Stafford’s TD pass to Calvin Johnson(notes). But the Packers (7-4) scored 27 unanswered points in the second and third quarter to turn the game into a familiar rout.

Cowboys 24, Raiders 7

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)—Tony Romo(notes) snapped the Dallas Cowboys from their offensive slumber by leading them to a season-high 494 yards, with Miles Austin(notes) delivering 145 yards and a touchdown.

By winning for the sixth time in seven games, Dallas (8-3) is guaranteed of going into the final month of the season atop the NFC East.

Oakland (3-8) and its new starting quarterback, Bruce Gradkowski(notes), were coming off a victory over division-leading Cincinnati just a few days before, but couldn’t even cross midfield in the first half. The Raiders’ lone highlight was top draft pick Darrius Heyward-Bey(notes) making the first touchdown catch of his career.

Broncos 26, Giants 6

DENVER (AP)—Kyle Orton(notes) drove Denver on six scoring drives, Matt Prater(notes) kicked four field goals and safety Brian Dawkins(notes) led a ferocious defense 48 hours after calling a players-only meeting, and the Broncos beat the New York Giants.

Elvis Dumervil(notes) dumped Eli Manning(notes) twice, extending his NFL-leading sack total to 14. Dumervil’s second one came in the fourth quarter and resulted in a fumble that sealed Denver’s first win since Oct. 19.

Hosting their first Thanksgiving game since 1963 in the AFL, the Broncos returned to the physical style of play that marked their 6-0 start and ditched the sieve that was their defense during their four-game skid.

Behind three takeaways, the Broncos (7-4) halted their freefall and pulled within a half game of AFC West leader San Diego. New York (6-5), which snapped its four-game losing streak on Sunday, fell two games behind Dallas, which beat Oakland earlier Thursday, in the NFC East.

Josh Freeman good? Heck no. At least not yet. He only looked good in just one game against the Packers. Other than that, he's just an average joe. Heck, he might not even be compare to Tarvaris Jackson yet.

Can anyone tell me how to figure out who is returning kicks and punts for any team(in this case the Titans)? I know you can go to depth chart and see it that way but they aren't updated and I need to know for this week. Thanks a lot.

Bengals & fans, you deserve congratulations. Beat us and Ravens twice this year. Your coach is a class act too.

Does your kicker ever tackle anyone? If so, wanna trade?

I loved seeing Terrell Owens' soul hit rock bottom against a two-win team. TO drags down every single team he's on. Sure, he had success with Philly, but he was such a cancer in the locker room that they suspended him. He could learn a lot about being a TEAMMATE from Maurice Jones-Drew.

When will the NFL make this match-up a reto uniform game? Baltimore could wear the 1949 unis and Cleveland could wear their 1999 "we're back" uniforms. Then they could broadcast the game in b&w for all the Browns fans still talking about the glory years.

I love fan loyalty, especially when it borders absolute denial. Understand Pittsburgh lacks the real test of playing a much improved Denver team and a defense that is still ranked 1st in the NFL overall. Welcome to mile high folks, think that beating in Baltimore didn't build some fires. Enjoy the game. hehehe

I agree with # 40 , the Pats ran up the score on that weak team. Not what any other NFL team would have done. I use to kind of pull for the Patroits untill I seen where they were cheating...like the 80's and 90's San Fran team there. Now I am a little
(cautious) of anything they do. Seems like a good team and coach but won't turn
down any (cheat) way to get a upper hand ?

even though the vikings lost ... they still proved they can compete with the best of teams and even win if the stupid mistakes are eliminated. giving up 2 defensive TD's in your own endzone is a recipe for a loss. we moved the ball very well put points on the board but with penalties (some real and some phantom) along with turnovers .... well you just make it hard on yourself to win like that. hope we can meet them in the SB.
