Vick leaves game with bruised thigh

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Eagles quarterback Michael Vick(notes) was forced out of Sunday’s game against San Francisco with a bruised thigh.

Vick was stopped on a third-and-1 late in the first quarter and left the field on his own power. He took a seat on the bench and was treated by the training staff.

Vick left for the locker room at the end of the quarter.

Vick was on the field for three plays. He ran twice for 2 yards.

    Vick hurt my Longhorns way back when. I just spent $1000 on my dachshund (that I couldn't afford). All that said, a human is worth more than a dog. What he did was wrong, but I pray he has a good life. God will decide his destiny. PS, if he does it again, ELECTRIC CHAIR!!!

    Phillyfan-If someone tortures and kills your kids or pets and serves what is widely believed to be a very light sentence and is allowed to make $$$$ to play football you might have a different take. People like you think it isn't a big deal until it hits home. Again put yourself in others shoes.

    I wish some of you would have that same compassion and drive for all of the aborted babies which probably some of you have participated in the murder of these babies in your lifetime.This society is so messed up that we will protect some animals,kill some for food but have no regard for the MURDERED BABIES that takes place every day.

    debrap, you apparently don't have a sensitive ounce in your body or else you would see it for what it truly is. He killed and tortured animals for no other reason that they lost fights. Try for once to put yourself in another beings shoes whether it be human or not. If that doesn't bother you in the least you have bigger problems than what we all think and there is help out there

    You are a "black-eye" on your race, what ever that may be - I only hope it isn't human. What a stupid association to try to make. If you hate Mike Vick, you hate Mike Vick. I guess that you should be painted

    Wonder if these same people that had season tickets for the Eagles sold them and boycotted the team due to Vick and sold the Tickets and sent the Money they got from them to a Animal Charity????
    As far as Vick??? Everyone has to get a 2nd chance in life if they did something bad.

    Bronconutt doesn't have any children because nobody wants to breed that nasty ass....Your animals love you because they HAVE NO CHOICE..you feed them dumbass...dogs and cats will love whoever feeds them.....animals are stupid that way.....I love animals too but they DO NOT carry more VALUE than Humans....

    Last I remember Mike Vick did serious jail time and pay a huge price financially and personally! Time to let go the animal abuse thing, animals of all kind die every day in the pounds and shelters, not to mention all the dog fights that are still going on in the U.S., south of the border and around the world. So were's your bleeding hearts for those animals. It can't be any other reasons why people are still harping on Mike Vick. Let it go! Let it go! And remember hate is terrible thing, which is best harbored by terrible people!!
