Dolphins TE Fasano to miss second straight game

  • Print

DAVIE, Fla. (AP)—Miami Dolphins tight end Anthony Fasano(notes) has been ruled out of Thursday night’s game at Charlotte because of a hip injury.

Nose tackle Paul Soliai(notes) (ankle) and linebacker Erik Walden(notes) (hamstring), both reserves, were also ruled out Wednesday.

Guard Justin Smiley(notes) (shoulder) and reserve safety Tyrone Culver(notes) (ankle) are questionable, and safety Gibril Wilson(notes) (hamstring) is probable. Running back Ronnie Brown(notes) (foot) was ruled out earlier.

Fasano also missed Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay. Kory Sperry(notes) helped to fill in and caught a touchdown pass in his first NFL game.

Hey common sense you are pretty retarded. He came in 07, Just three years with miami... are we skipping superbowls? or are you saying theyll win again. pretty sure your just retarded Steelers, Colts, Giants, Steelers... thats one ring. Porter left the Steelers because well they released him and went in a different direction aka Harrison dumbass and Porter's Signing bonus alone was 7 million more than what he was gunna get in his final year. He's a clown for leaving a second ring in pitt but i bet he enjoys the extra 7 mill in his pocket.

Did anyone really have expectations of the Dolphins going all the way this year? Hell, I'm a Dolphins fan and I was excited before preseason started, but -noone- was talking about the Dolphins. Nobody saying "Look out for the Dolphins to repeat as division champs" or "I think the Dolphins have a good chance at winning the division". I love the Dolphins, but I'm a realist. Can they win out...yeah they can. Will it happen, prolly not. When you have a secondary of all rookiees but 1 veteran, and no real threats at wide reciever, what expectaction can you have? And I know people love talking smack here, and they'll say " Dolphins beating -insert team here- you're frickin crazy" They've suprised people before, that whole "Any Given Sunday" thing. (Bucs beating Green Bay last week, Detroit winning a game, Dolphins winning the division last year) It will be interesting to see what happens, I know I'll be watching.

Well said Mr. Common Sense well said, why would you leave the Steelers for the Dolphins? I know South Beach is nice and Florida has no state income tax but you missed to Super Bowl rings, what a clown Porter is.

The dolphins have a legitimate shot at going 8-8. and 98% of the teams in the whole NFL wouldnt make it to the playoffs with our division, and our #1 toughest schedule. Thanks for the @#$% talking, it just makes people play better! and Joey Porter obviously doesn't suck, he is just not playing up to his potential this year. 17.5 sacks last year isnt a fluke. So hop off his nuts

Well yeah they may not make it to the playoff But we'll be there in good shape once again for some good draft picks. And thats how a lot of teams that use to be where we are today built up to be in the top notch teams they are today.
And porter needs to be replaced by Cameron Wake.0 sacks 0 tackles the only thing hurt on porter is his pride. He let a rookie man handle him sunday in New England. A nd where was no# 55 jason taylor. I saw he was getting pushed around too What a joke

All I can say is thank God that Jason ferguson is back in the middle. While watching the game last sunday at "The Razor," I watched Paul Soliai at nose tackle. It soon became apparent that not only was he playing on a bad ankle, but even before the injury, he was getting blown off the line!! And when it came to a pass rush, it wasn't there all day because they couldn't shoot any gaps. There simply were none, unless Brady was rolling out. I still am absolutely shocked that with 7-8 guys trying to cover "a zone area" can allow so many WR's to find a seem?? They NEED to get REAL PHYSICAL and BUMP, and I mean BUMP them at the line of scrimmage. This will at least knock them off of their intended route or slow it down a bit. This and MUCH MORE MAN-TO-MAN, with safety help on guys like Moss. Not only will bumping at the line slow them down, but, it will help the pass rush. But more than any of this.... They NEED to BLITZ!! I've seen enough football to know that the only way to BEAT a great q.b. is to NOT GIVE HIM TIME!! No matter who it is! Marino was the best at beating the blitz because of his release. He, today, would get a late hit flag on every hit because of this release, can you imagine? Look at what we did to Brees until we went to "zone coverage!" When you have athletes like Taylor, Wake, and {sometimes, yes, even big-mouth} Porter, they are BRED to rush the passer from many different gaps, NOT try to cover an area that either Moss, Watson, or especially Welker can easily get to. When you give them a 10 yard cushin. I say sit Big-Mouth Porter and send Wake and Taylor from the outside of each side. This with Ferguson plugging up the middle will collapse a pocket fast. If these two cornerbacks, Sith and Davis are as good as they say, well than they should have the skills to cover a person, better than an area!! I think Davis should be the main BUMP guy on whatever side their best receiver is on. They must also stop with the bullsheet penalties, that are a DIRECT result of poor coaching. Sparano should think about getting a new defensive coordinator before it's time for people to start talking about getting rid of him! Pasqualoni and Henning should GO! Start playing up to their true capabilities and stop this nonsense their trying to pass off as NFL Football! They are not letting Henne truly develop his skills or rythym with the offense under ALL of the different phases of the game by constantly taking him out to run the wildcat. Enough Already!! This team is CONSTANTLY getting called with too many men on the field and motion penalties because of all of this tom-foolery. They have become a joke to watch and it sickens me that this once proud franchise, {when owned and operated by Joe Robbi!} has stooped too this level! With all of the CRAP going on at the stadium to enhance the FAN experience, {Buffet's Marg'Ville, J LO, Estefan's, Williams sister's{?}} BULL CRAP, BULL CRAP, BULL CRAP!!!!! I say if you want to improve the "Fan Experience" and SELL OUT a Prime Time Game....... PUT A WINNING TEAM ON THE FIELD, IDIOTS!!!! AND GET A COACHING STAFF THAT IS NOT TRYING TO TURN THIS INTO A COLLEGE PROGRAM!!!!
"Said it so many times"....... "If brains were made of, well forget it!"
