Colts K Vinatieri out 4-8 weeks after knee surgery
INDIANAPOLIS (AP)—Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri(notes) is out four to eight weeks after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to remove a piece of cartilage.
The team said Wednesday they have signed veteran kicker Matt Stover(notes) to replace Vinatieri.
The procedure follows surgery that Vinatieri had in June on his right hip, which caused him to miss all of training camp.
The team also waived tackle Ed Johnson(notes), who had been helping anchor the defensive line this season. The Colts signed Johnson in the offseason despite releasing him last year following an arrest on drug possession charges.

As far as Johnson that is a surprise. I guess the young draft DT's are doing better in pratice, maybe now we can FINALLY see Fioli once he gets healthy since I haven't seen him but "maybe" 3 snaps.
