WR Boldin, DT Dockett sit out Arizona practice

  • Print

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP)—Wide receiver Anquan Boldin(notes) and defensive tackle Darnell Dockett(notes) sat out Arizona’s practice on Wednesday but say they expect to play in the Cardinals’ game Sunday at Chicago.

Boldin’s sprained right ankle took a shot in last Sunday’s 34-21 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The three-time Pro Bowler first injured the ankle against Houston on Oct. 11. He didn’t practice last week until Friday and said he expected the same thing this week.

Dockett has been bothered by a sore ankle and neck. Linebacker Gerald Hayes(notes) also didn’t practice Wednesday because of back spasms.

Boldin says that he’ll never be 100 percent healthy this season but as long as he can move around and run, he’s going to play. Dockett says the only way he would sit out the game is if he can’t walk.

I won't say "I called it...." because that is redundant and the ass-whipping my Bears just took shouldn't be a shock to anyone.

This is going to sound stupid but if Cutler throws for less than 200 yards the bears win. If he throws for more than 200 the Bears will lose. Check the stats.

hate 2 say it, but cards/warner/fitz/breaston/boldin/wells, will pound da bearz...i am a HUGE bearz fan, lived there 20 years, but bearz have NO pass rush, and NO pass defense..good qb's with time have picked them apart( rodgers,ryan,palmer,etc...).line is chicago by 3, i would take the cards and the points, bearz rushing attack pathetic...bearz remind me a lot of ND, good qb, but porous pass defense, crappy pass rush, and floundering run game...GO BEARZ...

    I'm a die-hard Bears fan, but I'm also a realist.

Kurt Warner is going to pick apart Lovie Smith's Cover 2 defense. Larry Fitzgerald drawing double coverage will equate to Steve Breaston having a career day.

Eventually Larry Fitzgerald is going to have a huge game and that's one thing that can be hard to stop. Cutler also has a tendency to get picked off at inopportune times. The Cardinals are good at picking teams off; see the Giants game two weeks ago. I expect this game to be a high scoring affair as the weather forcast is supposed to be favorable. The Cards also have Beanie Wells who has big play ability and a good stiff arm. If the bears allow Wells to have a huge game the Cards will win. This year many teams look good one week and bad the next even the Bears have done that so stop acting like other teams don't have the same issues as the Cards. We kicked the Falcons butts in the playoffs last year and the Bears should beat the Falcons and did not. Heck the Eagles lost to the Raiders and kill the Giants which shows this stuff is hard to predict.

wow, first time i been on a cardinals posting page since i moved away from az 5 years ago. some things NEVER change i guess. CLUELESS fan base!!! seriously the WORST "fans" of any professional sport come out of az. you have routinely had blacked out games over the years due to bad performance then, when a team wins something or does well for once, you alllll out of the closet to voice ridiculous opinions. tygrbass-how the hell is Leinert taking a huge step up? the guy has rarely played and when he does, its BAD! the cards are defending nfc champs and are barely in the race in what is a HORRIBLE division. i see alot of people ripping on 49ers fans. well, 49ers are playing farrrr better ball than the cards as they were not expected to do much this year. cardinals have far better talent and not doing a damn thing. so, to rip on the 49ers is idiotic. blame your own underachieving team for the fact that the 49ers are in that race. I cannot wait til sunday when DA BEARS walk all over this team that the NFL decided to put in the middle of the desert. IF you cards fans DOO decide to actually watch this game, pay attention to the stands. those are what you call REAL sports fans. take notes and realize that Bears fans are there no matter what! not just when their team is performing well. place has been sold out for around 20+ years no matter how bad the teams were! Bears 34 Cards 14

I think the Cardinals defense has shown some real improvment and dominance. They need to get a little more consistant. They have to be one of the quickest in the league. Warner is awesome. He is a throw back. A lot of people don't remember the pocket quaterbacks that hang in thre till the last second. I have been watching this game for a long time and I realize that not a lot of QB;s can do what Kurt does. He doesn't have all the tools and talent as some but moxy and tuffness...he is above the rest. They also need a running back to step up and ( hold on tho the ball) that would make them very hard to defend.

    GO CARDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You people that live in the sports past are fools. You are personally a winner or a loser bec ause of the team you are for? It is sport...get a life. Most people that I know that identify with the so-called winners(Lakers, Celtics,Yankees,Cowboys,49ers,Red sox, Patriots,Red Wings,Steelers to name a few) are the biggest jerks in the world. There's more to life than debating "we're number 1".-BIG DEAL!!!
