Bills activate WR Hardy; waive RB Omon
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP)—Bills receiver James Hardy’s(notes) comeback from knee surgery is complete after being added to the team’s active roster.
The second-year player was activated by the team on Wednesday after spending the first nine weeks of the season on the reserve/physically-unable-to-perform list. Hardy, a second-round draft pick out of Indiana, has been out since tearing a ligament in his left knee in a 31-27 loss to the Jets last December.
He’s spent the past three weeks practicing with the team. It’s unclear if Hardy will play at Tennessee on Sunday. Hardy’s addition means the Bills are carrying seven receivers.
To make room on their roster, the Bills waived third-string running back Xavier Omon(notes), a sixth-round draft pick last year.
