Drew Brees will appear on an upcoming episode of "Sesame Street." The New Orleans Saints quarterback filmed the segment in April and discussed his experience at a news conference this week.
This got us thinking, if "Sesame Street" characters were NFL players or coaches, who would they be? Brees seems nice enough to be one of the cast of human characters on the show, maybe Mr. Hooper. But what of the others?
Unibrows, huggable interim coaches, massive widow's peaks and the dual meanings of "It's Not Easy Being Green" made this easier than you'd think.
Bert -- Joe Flacco
Big Bird -- Andy Reid
Cookie Monster -- Trent Williams and Fred Davis
Count von Count -- Mel Kiper, Jr.
Elmo -- Darren Sproles
Ernie -- Jeff Garcia
Gordon -- Romeo Crennel
Grover -- Tim Tebow
Guy Smiley -- Trent Williams and Fred Davis
Kermit the Frog -- Michael Vick
Oscar the Grouch -- Bill Belichick
Aloysius Snuffleupagus -- Vince Wilfork
Telly Monster -- Chad Ochocinco
Brees' episode appears Friday on local PBS stations.
